Emanuele Bona
Director General, CEPIPRINT

Emanuele Bona was born in 1968 in Turin, Italy. He graduated with a degree in Economics at the Turin University and went on to work as commercial assistant and marketing manager for Cartiere Burgo, the largest paper producer in Italy. He joined CEPIPRINT in 1999 and worked as Director of Market Research & Development in Zurich, before the association was relocated to Brussels in 2002. In January of that year, he took over the responsibility as Director General of CEPIPRINT. CEPIPRINT, the Association of European Publication Paper Producers, provides its members with high quality statistical data and analysis on the European newsprint and magazine paper grades. As of June 2005, Emanuele has also taken responsibility as Vice-President Europe, for the Pulp and Paper Products Council (PPPC), based in Montreal, Canada. PPPC is an alliance of producer associations serving an international membership in the pulp and paper industry. PPPC membership today accounts for close to 70% of global market pulp capacity and about 55% of world communication papers capacity (newsprint and printing & writing papers). In May 2007, Emanuele was appointed Chairman of PRIMA, the Paper and Related Industries Marketing Association, for which he had been a member of the Council since 2005.

Christian Godske

Christian, age 32, is an expert in strategic media planning, digital media (online & mobile), international media planning and business development.
After joining MediaCom as Account Director in 2002, he was Digital Strategist for Microsoft Advertising. Since 2007 he has hold his current position as Digital Evangelist at MediaCom.

Christian Linnelyst has worked for 13 years in marketing in the B2B focusing on CRM and direct marketing. For five of these years he worked in the telecoms sector, where he implemented a number of activities with great success. Christian sees marketing as an integrated part of the business, and has, therefore, besides marketing, worked a lot with systems, sales, strategy and analyses. Before joining Scandinavian Airlines, Christian has worked with some of the largest companies in Scandinavia:
- TrygVesta (Insurance)
- Song Networks - now part of TDC (Telecom)
- Telia Telecom (Telecom)

Graham Moore
Head of Strategic Consultancy
Pira International Ltd, UK

Graham Moore has over twenty five years experience of the paper and board industry, encompassing process and product knowledge, wet end chemistry, recycling, deinking, product performance and strategic futures related research.
He has carried out many technical and strategic based consultancies for clients around the world. He has been a major contributor to Pira International’s strategic futures based research programme that examined the issues and technology trends that affect the future of the paper, packaging and print sectors. For example, ‘Nanotechnology in the paper, printing and packaging industries’.
He has authored many papers and publications, including a number of books, e.g. Wet End Chemistry Strategies, Non Wood Fibres and Pulp and Paper Five-Year Technology Forecast. He has also contributed to other publications including the EC COST publication, ‘Paper Recycling’. He is a regular contributor to Pulp and Paper International.
He is a member and Fellow of TAPPI (USA), member and non-executive director of PITA (UK) and a member of PRIMA. He represented the UK on the European COST programme for Forests and Forest Products and has acted as an evaluator for the EC and the Finnish Academy of Science. He has also acted as an external examiner for Manchester and Reading Universities and been an invited lecturer at Lappeenranta University of Technology in Finland and Seoul University in South Korea. He has appeared on ‘Shop Talk’ on BBC Radio 4 discussing the impact of nanotechnology on packaging.
His technical background is in chemistry and his research field for his PhD was the chemistry and synthesis of derivatives of chitosan.

Helge J. Pedersen

Helge J. Pedersen, born in 1959, holds an M.Sc. in Economics. He joined Nordea, Economics Departement, in 1987 and was appointed Chief Economist in 1999. He has been an Associate Professor at the Copenhagen Business School (1987-1998) and DIS – Denmark´s International Study program, teaching American university students (1993-2000). Mr. Pedersen is also the author of articles and textbooks in economics, as well as a consultant and author of economic articles for Denmark´s National Lexicon.
He was a Member at the EU-Commission expert panel for Baltic Small Facility Project (1996) and a member of the editorial board for the Danish journal The Economist - Samfundsøkonome (1998-2001).

Paul Sheridan
Founder & Managing Director, StepChange Consulting GmbH, Austria

Paul Sheridan is Managing Director of StepChange Consulting, a pulp, paper and packaging specific management consultancy. Paul has 20 years of experience in the industry spanning roles in project financing, engineering & contracting and since 2001 management consulting. Presently, his major focus is on supporting industry producers and merchants in performance improvement, working capital reduction and supply chain transformation. Paul has published articles in several trade journals and presented StepChange´s point of view at industry conferences. He is a graduate of Economics from Durham University and holds an Executive M.B.A from Sasin Graduate Institute of Business Administration. Paul currently lives in Vienna.

Mark Ushpol
Sales & Marketing Director,
Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper Sales GmbH, Austria

After university and 2 years military service, Mark spent 8 years marketing and selling plastic baby products in an FMCG environment. He moved into the paper business with Mondi Paper in South Africa 12 years ago, starting in product management and then moving into various marketing and sales management positions.
The opportunity to take on the role of Marketing Director for the group resulted in a move to Austria in 2004. In this position, he oversaw the re-branding of Neusiedler to Mondi Business Paper. At the end of 2005, he moved across from marketing to take up the role of Sales Director and at the beginning of 2008, after the re-structuring of Mondi into Mondi Europe & International and Mondi South Africa, took up the executive role he currently holds, overseeing all uncoated fine paper sales globally for Mondi Europe and International.
Mark studied Business Economics and Law at university and has completed a Senior Executive Programme at Harvard Business School. He is married to Kelly and they have 10 year old twins, Adam and Caitlin.

Marieke van der Donk

Marieke van der Donk is Principle Manager at PriceWaterhouse Coopers and one of their top media and publishing experts. She holds an international (OneMBA) master´s degree in Business Administration from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and has extensive and relevant experience with managing large and complex projects in the Media & Entertainment industry. Dries van Wing
Regional Manager

Dries van Wing was born in 1947 and obtained his degree as Engineer for Graphical Industry from HIGRO (High Institute for Graphical Arts) in Ghent in 1969. In 1973, he graduated in Economics from the Brussels Free University. From 1973 to 1977, he worked as market analyst and assistant to the Managing Director of the paper merchant division of Papeteries de Belgique. He then moved to Unilever’s 4P Division (Paper, Packaging, Plastics and Printing) where he held various positions in Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands. Since 1987, Dries has been working with Canfor Pulp & Paper Europe in Brussels as Regional Manager.
