Viken Skog is the largest forest owner co-operative in Norway handling approximately 30 % of the annual national timber harvest, corresponding to 2,3 mill cubic meters. 12,000 private forest owners in the south eastern part of Norway own Viken Skog.

The main business is selling timber to the Norwegian pulp and paper industry as well as to the saw mills. Viken Skog is also organising the harvest by subcontracting from private harvesting firms. Silivculture after cutting is offered and organised. Annual turnover is approximately EURO 160 million. Viken Skog holds important owner stakes in the important timber consuming industries Norske Skogindustrier ASA and Moelven Industrier ASA as well as in smaller saw mills and wood working companies.
